Once you understand the rules, it's time to break them—yes, you can wear white after Labor Day. It's one of the style myths that we've all heard at one time or another, but it's just that—a myth. I can't count how many times I've been told or asked why am I wearing white pants in the middle of October or November, but the truth is, I love to wear white during the Winter because it offers a sense of versatility and easily pairs with any color or pattern.

What to avoid:
- Linen—Pay attention to the fabric of your pants; you want to avoid Summer fabrics like linen, lightweight cotton, or cargo pants.
- White pants are cool but white shoes—avoid.
- Crazy bright colors or patterns—keep things simple and neutral.
