Battling Winter Skin
Winter just hit us hard & we are all itching (literally) for summer to arrive. With this frigid cold weather comes dry & sometimes cracked skin. I've tried many different products in various price ranges & while many of them work, who wants to spend $50+ especially when there are products that work well & are less expensive. I stumbled upon these products awhile back while grocery shopping at Trader Joe's & I must say; they are my go to!
Lavender Salt Scrub $5.99
Having extremely sensitive skin, I tend to stay away from products that have a ton of unnatural ingredients & artificial fragrances. This scrub is filled with a ton of natural oils & sea salt & visibly improves the skins appearance & texture. Because the product is using a natural sea salt, it simply melts away while exfoliating the skin. Having used other products that have large particles of salt that tend to scratch & irritate the skin, this scrub does not. If you are looking for that at home spa experience, this is the way to go!
Tip: Use twice a week & use a wooden scrub spoon, as your fingers will dry out the natural oils in the scrub.
Coconut Body Butter $4.99
After using the scrub, I like to follow-up with a good body butter. The scrub has oils that moisturize the skin, but with these temperatures, I like to add another layer. Body Butter tends to be extremely thick & sometimes oily. This body butter gives you that creamy thick consistency without the excess oil. It absorbs into your skin quickly & leaves it feeling fresh & soft. Coconut oil is extremely beneficial for the skin & with the combination of other ingredients like shea butter & vitamin E, it will help with the healing of dry weathered skin.
Tip: Use daily & apply while the skin is damp & warm.
