Denim-on-denim is a uniform I will never get tired of, and Y'all know I love to wear it all year-round. I spent this past weekend visiting my parents, and while running errands with my mom, I spotted this camouflage cardigan at Target. The funny thing is, it was in the women's section, but I'm a firm believer in making pieces you love— regardless of price or gender—your own. So, I grabbed it in a larger size because I wanted it to be oversized, and paired it with this full-on denim look.

This denim jacket and distressed denim jeans are both old favorites that I will probably never get rid of; they've been a staple in my closet for some time now, and the denim gets better the more I wear it.

With NYC still feeling like Summer, layers are essential. So, to keep warm as we head into the evening, I layered the cardigan over the denim jacket—it added extra dimension and texture. If you haven't stepped out of your comfort zone and tried pieces you normally wouldn't—ie. this women's cardigan, give it a try, so you don't blend in.
